What does a key point, compliment, and casual note mean, and how to use them.
There are three (3) types of notes you can add, but it isn’t mandatory for a coaching session to proceed. Notes are an avenue to allow the Coach and Coachee to store their remarks within FLASH Coach for easy reference during the coaching session.
While there is no right or wrong way to add notes, they do differ slightly, depending on whether you are a Coach or Coachee.
For a Coach
If you wish to add a note before creating and sending the invitation, we think some context is useful for the Coachee to aid their preparation.
: describe the reason for coaching this subject and areas for improvement.
: let your Coachee know what they have done well and it does not have to relate to the coaching subject.
: any other matters you wish to add which might not fit into the first two notes’ functions.
If you didn’t add a note before sending the invite, you can still add a note on the session details page, which is displayed after you’ve already sent the invite.
For a Coachee
After confirming your attendance, you will be redirected to the page with session details and to start your preparation. The notes function can be found on the right of the screen.
Some ideas for using notes include:
: observations of your performance and how you can improve in the subject.
: give your Coach some words of encouragement.
: any other matters that you find relevant to the Session.
How to add a note(s)
Select a specific note to add. Type in your comments and, to send, hit the arrow button for it to be added.
The thumbs-up icon in the ‘Compliment’ allows you to like any compliments added by the other party.
After adding your note(s), you should be able to view it alongside any other notes that the other person has added. These notes will be visible throughout the entire coaching session for the particular subject.
